The men are weavers in Pueblo communities.  Historically all Pueblo weavings were made using cotton.  With the arrival of the Spanish, wool was introduced.  The Navajo learned to weave using an upright loom from the Pueblos and now make beautiful works of art that are highly collected.

Sashes and belts are used traditionally and make excellent additions to personal collections.  With the introduction of commercial yarns, weavers have incorporated beautiful and vibrant colors in their handmade works of art.
